Today’s SLOMA is actually the result of the merger of Siway & Seaway and Sloma & Co. on 1 September 2007.  The former Siway & Seaway law firm, founded in 1995, was a full-service law firm, well-known for its practice in the fields of corporate finance, FDI, intellectual property, maritime, entertainment/film making, etc.  The original Sloma law firm, established in 2001, was an international law firm, specializing in maritime law, general international commercial law and transactions.  

The joined forces of the two firms have clearly strengthened the newborn SLOMA in the maritime, intellectual property, general corporate and commercial, foreign direct investment and international transaction practices.  The partners of the two firms firmly believe that the effect of the combination of the two firms will be far greater than the sum of the two.
